June 25, 2018: 9 Months!!

Hello Everyone!

This week has been good! The email will be a bit shorter because a kind member is letting me use her sewing machine today to alter some clothing I bought at Good Will.

This week on exchanges we invited one of our newer investigators, Edward, to be baptized and he said yes! He is really so prepared! He will be baptized on August 11th!... and now we are handing him off to the YSA (young single adults) Ward... Still very happy and excited for him! but I guess I have that little green jealously monster inside of me because I really just want to continue to teach him and see him progress. Hey this experience is teaching me that it really is not about you when it comes to the work of the Lord.

Saturday night we had eight people who had committed to come to church the next day, but as Sunday morning progressed the number slowly dwindled down to one. Sundays are another example of how it really is all in God's timing and in His hands. And even though we know each person who could have come would have benefited the Lord knows who is ready and it is our job to do all we can to help them on the path.

Rajesh was the only one to show up for church. He is a very nice man from India. We met him very briefly last Saturday and invited him to come to church. He seemed genuinely excited about it and we had continued over texting to make sure he was coming. He walked to church and loved it! he was only able to stay for Sacrament meeting, but he said next week he would bring his wife and son! We are so happy we met him and excited to continue teaching him!

Sister Johnson and I hit 9 months this week and we had some balloons floating around our apartment so yes we took some maternity pictures. 😁😂

I love you all! Have a great week! BYE!
