Hello everyone😃
It's been another week! I hope you all have had a great one! I know I sure did! Let's see what happened this week...
We went on exchanges with the Cornelius Hermanas and it was super fun! I got to be with Sister Teters for the day and we had a blast, she is such a great missionary!
We got to go on a hauntingly beautiful country drive searching for a new member of the ward, it was great.
We finally got around to decorating our ninja bread cookies that we made at Christmas! And I must say they look pretty snazy!
Besides that we were just hard at work looking for new people to teach and trying to stay in contact with those who we are teaching. It's been a little rough this week because everyone has been getting the flu! But despite having been sick all week Martin still came to church again!! He is doing great!
We had a first lesson with a man named Luigi this week. He is a sweet older man who has had a lot of exposure to the church. He is excited to read the Book of Mormon and knows that what we share will increase his happiness, just as he has seen in those he has known who have been members. He kept commenting throughout the lesson that what we share is "the best medicine that anyone could take!"
Spiritual Thought:
"Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers, did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence; teaching the law of Moses, and the intent for which it was given; persuading them to look forward unto the Messiah, and believe in him to come as though he already was. And after this manner did they teach them." -Jarom 1:11
This scripture really stuck out to me as I was studying about believing this week in my personal study.
Think about all the things that stress and bring you anxiety... Think about the things you fear... Think about your priorities and the things that daily call for your attention... Think about the trials you have faced and the things you have lost... Now imagine that the second coming of Jesus Christ happens tomorrow. How many of those things still matter?
Jarom teaches the people to believe in Christ as if he had already come. We need to believe in Christ as if he has already come again. How would your priorities shift, how would even your thoughts change if you believed in Christ as if He was already here?
I love you all! I love this gospel! I love my Savior!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
Sister Peterson ❤️
